By air: The nearest airport is the Leh Airport which is connected by regular flights to Jammu, Srinagar and Delhi. Flight Operators like Jet Airways and Indian Airlines operate daily flights from Leh to Delhi.
By Road: One can drive down to Leh via the Srinagar - Leh route. It is one of the motorable roads and is open only from June to November. Regular state transport buses do pass from the same Srinagar Leh route daily. Other than this road, the other road that one can approach is the Manali - Leh Road. The Manali - Leh road route is open from May to Mid October. One can find state transport buses on this route too. One also has the option of hiring private taxis or motorcycles from Delhi for tehir trip to Ladakh.

Road route from Manali to Leh, Ladakh (485 km):
Manali - Rohtang Pass - Kokhsar - Tandi - Keylong - Darcha - Bharatpur - Sarchu - Nakee La - Lachulang La - Pang - Tanglang La - Upshi- Karu - Leh
Road route from Nubra Valley to Leh (350 km):
