Places to visit in Ladakh

When you travel to Ladakh, don't forget to pay a visit to the following places which are prime attractions of Ladakh:

Nubra Valley
Nubra Valley: Located in the north of Leh, Nubra Valley is one of the prime attractions which has been opened for public recently. Also popularly known as the Valley of Flowers, Nubra Valley which is about 10,000 feet above sea level has its own importance and is worth visiting. Though when you visit you may not find anything special about it, but this is the palce which in season is full of Apples, Apricots and barley which are cultivated by local farmers. One can see sand dunes, various ruins of ancient palaces, the Khardung La Pass, Deskit and villages all over these valley. The main attraction though is the Double Hump Camels which can be seen here.

Leh: Leh is not just the capital of Ladakh but it is also one of the prime attractions of Ladakh given the beauty that it adds to it. Leh is a nature's paradise with lots of monasteries and adventure sports option it offers. Moreover many known hotels and resorts are located in Leh. Leh is also known for the best hiking trails it offers. 

Kargil
Kargil: Located 234 km from Leh, Kargil too is a prime destination that one should visit. Though we all know Kargil for many reasons, but one more reason to visit this place is the nature's trail it offers. Kargil offers true landscape, a beauty which one can absorb in! Famous for the apricots and artistic merchandise people visit Kargil for a true shopping experience.

Suru Valley: Nestled amidst Himalayan ranges, the Suru Valley is yet another beauty of Ladakh. One can find enough snow and beautiful lakes all here in Suru Valley.

Pangong Tso Lake
Pangong Tso Lake: Located at an altitude of 13940 feet Pangong Lake is one of the most important wetlands of India. This salt water lake is located between India and Tibet and freezes completely during winters. The Pangong Lake is known for its beauty and the biodiversity it has to offer. One can find several ducks and sea gulls over this lake along with other wide variety of migratory birds.

Tsomoriri Lake: Yet another beautiful lake, Tsomoriri Lake is a must see point in Ladakh. The Tsomorir Lake is located around 240 km from Leh and is a salt water lake which settles amidst mountain ranges at an altitude of 14000 feet above sea level.
